Personal Assistance Services
Personal Assistance is a non-medical program that empowers people with disabilities to live independent lives. With Personal Assistance, your loved one identifies one or more Direct Service Providers (DSP/DSPs) to provide one on one support. The main objective of Personal Assistance is to enhance the overall quality of life for the individual being served and their family.
Families can choose a DSP from their personal network; this includes family members, friends, or other people who can provide loving and compassionate support. Please check with your Regional Center for any rules and restrictions they have regarding who you can select as your care provider.

Personal Assistance Services Include:
- Assistance with functional activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and restroom assistance
- Meal preparation
- Light housework
- Medication reminders
