Respite Care Services

24 Hour Home Care offers Respite Care to families receiving services through the Regional Center. Respite Care is a non-medical service that allows a break for primary care providers from caring for their loved ones with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This service can be intermittent or regularly scheduled temporary supervision in the home.

With Respite Care, families can select a secondary care provider they trust who will be paid through 24 Hour Home Care for the care they provide. Families may choose a family member (excluding parent or legal guardian), friend, or someone else within their social and familial circle. Families can select multiple care providers as needed to assist with their care needs. The selected provider(s) must be hired by 24 Hour Home Care and have authorization in place before services can start.
